We are always so moved by the generosity and thoughtfulness of our CSFB families, friends, partners, and schools who go above and beyond to help when they can. If you’re looking to give back to your community this giving season, there are so many wonderful opportunities to do so. Here is a list of a few Baltimore organizations that could always use a little extra support during the holidays.

UNITED WAY OF CENTRAL MARYLAND

Local programs focus on housing, health, economic advancement, and education across central Maryland. The United Way accepts donations and volunteers year-round and serves as a hub that connects volunteers with trusted community partners.During the holiday season, family-friendly volunteer opportunities such as assembling care kits and holiday boxes are available December 12–23, 2025. These flexible opportunities are ideal for individuals, families, or groups looking to give back together.

SANTA CLAUS ANONYMOUS

Give the gift of, well, gifts! Santa Claus Anonymous has been providing Baltimore children with special presents they wouldn’t otherwise receive for more than 90 years. They continue to bring joy to children across the city during the holidays.Throughout December 2025, supporters can donate online, organize toy or gift drives, or help with child-friendly gift preparation activities that ensure children wake up to something special on Christmas morning.

ST. VINCENT DE PAUL BALTIMORE

With multiple shelter services, supportive housing programs, food access initiatives, and youth programs, St. Vincent de Paul Baltimore’s mission is to “ensure those impacted by poverty have the skills, resources, and opportunity to achieve their full potential.”Holiday support is especially impactful, and there are various ways to get involved, including hosting food or clothing drives, donating winter essentials, or participating in supervised meal-prep and pantry volunteer opportunities.

MARYLAND FOOD BANK

Working year-round to combat food insecurity, the Maryland Food Bank is dedicated to feeding people, strengthening communities, and ending hunger for Marylanders. Every $75 donation helps pack a cart of holiday groceries through their Fill Holiday Grocery Carts for Families initiative.Give the gift of time by signing up for volunteer opportunities at the Baltimore warehouse for individuals and groups. Volunteers help sort and pack food items that make holiday meals possible for thousands of Maryland families.

BALTIMORE HUNGER PROJECT

BALTIMORE HUNGER PROJECT

Baltimore Hunger Project supports school-age children experiencing food insecurity by providing weekend food bags and essential supplies, a service that becomes especially critical during school breaks.On December 17th, the organization will host The Packing Social, a fun and social evening designed for young adults (ages 25-35) to connect, pack food bags, and make an impact. Another opportunity to support this organization is by joining the Community Packing experience on December 23rd, 10am- 12 noon.

PAUL’S PLACE

Paul’s Place serves individuals and families in Southwest Baltimore through hot meals, family services, case management, clothing, and a community marketplace.Their Marketplace allows families to select winter coats, toys, books, and essential items with dignity. Supporters can donate items or assist with sorting and preparation throughout the month. They accept in-season clothing of all sizes. A particular, ongoing need is for men’s casual clothing. Clothing should be gently used and freshly laundered. In addition to clothing, there is a need for blankets and sleeping bags, backpacks, toiletries, and diapers. HOUSE OF RUTH MARYLAND

House of Ruth Maryland supports survivors of intimate partner violence, including many families with young children, through shelter services, counseling, and advocacy.You can donate essential and urgent items that help families feel supported during a challenging time by shopping their Amazon Wish List.

THE BALTIMORE STATION

The Baltimore Station helps veterans and community members transitioning out of homelessness and recovery programs rebuild their lives. Supporters  and volunteers can provide and serve meals, organize in-kind donation drives, coordinate service projects, and lead classes for their residents.
