Sips for Scholarships 2016

Dear CSFB Friends:

Thank you all so much for coming out Tuesday night to Brew House No. 16 to support Children’s Scholarship Fund Baltimore!

Thanks to you, we raised more than $7,000 in tickets, tips and sponsorship from our corporate partner, Venable LLP. That is enough funding to support CSFB scholarships for up to four low-income children in Baltimore City to attend K-8th grade at the independent school of their choice-Thank you!

Competition was fierce but Brewhouse Angels (Kate Powell, Laura Davis and Elizabeth Massing) raised the most followed by 3 Men and a Scholarship (Rick Corcoran, Jr., Sean Bennett and Mark Terranova). Ale-ing for CSFB (Sophia Marquez-Wallace, Renee Guckert and Jamila Sams) made a valiant effort and helped us exceed our goal.

For more than 15 years, CSFB has believed in a simple mission: we can improve educational opportunities for children of low-income Baltimore City families by providing partial scholarships without regard to race, ethnicity, or religious belief. Our model of providing partial-tuition scholarships to low-income families is one of the simplest, most immediate and effective ways to educate children and empower families to break the cycle of poverty. And it works: 97% of CSFB students graduate from high school and 84% go on to attend college.

From volunteering to donating, learn more about how you can impact CSFB and families in need.

On behalf of the board and staff, thank you for your support!
