Giving parents a choice
Giving children a chance

Children’s Scholarship Fund Baltimore (CSF Baltimore) provides privately-funded, partial scholarships for children from lower-income Baltimore families, to help them attend schools their parents choose.  We support children from kindergarten through eighth grade.

  • As of Spring 2008, we are helping over 490  students attend 70 private and parochial schools in and around Baltimore, whose tuition averages $5,544/year.

  • Our average scholarship is $1,759; parents choose the schools and pay the remaining tuition.

  • Recipient families are selected at random; academic requirements are set by the schools.

  • All scholarship donations are matched dollar for dollar, through the generosity of the Children's Scholarship Fund (CSF) and the Harry and Jeannette Weinberg Foundation.
