Are you or someone you know a golf enthusiast, or have you always wanted to try it? Do you care about equal educational opportunities regardless of income or zip code? Do you want to help make a difference in the lives of local Baltimore City families as much as we do? If you’ve answered yes to any of these questions, we have good news for you! In April, Children’s Scholarship Fund Baltimore is hosting an online auction fundraiser, Take A Swing For CSFB, with chances to win several amazing golf-themed prizes while supporting scholarships for low-income students.

Take a swing at a winning tee time on the green!

Did you know there are 197 golf courses in Maryland, 69 of which are private? You can bid on group tee times at four local private golf courses, including Hunt Valley Country Club and Montgomery County Country Club. Looking for a getaway this spring? We’ve also included exciting golf destination vacations in Ireland, North Augusta, Boca Raton, and more! Other prizes include golf memorabilia like a signed Jack Nicklaus portrait at The Masters and a golf swing assessment.

How will the auction support CSFB?

We are so fortunate to have already reached nearly half of our fundraising goal for the school year, thanks to the continued support of our community, families, and generous donors. As we increased the individual scholarship cap amount this year, we need your help more than ever to support our 275 scholars who continue to shine with a 98% high school graduation rate and 84% attending college.

The online auction process is simple. Each item has an assigned starting bid amount. Participants bid on their chosen item or items. At the end of the auction, the item will be awarded to the participant with the highest bid, and the funds paid, minus auction site costs, will go directly to the CSFB scholarship fund for the 2024-2025 school year.

Our fundraising committee worked long and hard to find the best organization to partner with that would keep your personal information safe and secure. On their website, you can read about the platform we’re using, WinningBidder.com, and how they’ve helped other non-profit organizations meet their fundraising goals. You can also find their privacy policy information here.

Help CSFB spread the word.

Keep an eye on our social media pages and sign up for our newsletter to receive updates and information about how to participate in the silent auction. Bidding will open on Monday, April 1, 2024, and remain active for three weeks until the close of the auction on Monday, April 22. Please support CSFB by spreading the word to your family and friends and sharing our LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram posts on your social media pages to help promote the event. The more people bidding on the auction, the more opportunities we have to surpass our fundraising goals!

We are so grateful for the continued support of our donors, both big and small. Without you, we wouldn’t have been able to award 275 individual scholarships for the 2023-2024 school year. Thank you for all that you do for CSFB. Please encourage others to support our cause by following CSFB on social media to hear more about our outstanding scholars, their successes, and our program.
