Understanding the difficult situations COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic may cause to CSFB families, Executive Director Beth Harbinson shares some thoughts that may help you through this hardship.
Playtime is an important activity for kids and is essential for their development and learning. As adults, we often forget that children are natural players and don’t pay enough attention to this important activity. Breaks from school are particularly important, and parents often worry that kids will experience an academic ‘slide’ during the summer and holiday seasons. But there are benefits to being around family and participating in activities outside of school.
Last year, Children’s Scholarship Fund Baltimore participated in #GivingTuesday and thanks to you, we raised $4,532 — enough to give a scholarship to TWO students from low-income families living in Baltimore City! This year, CSFB’s #GivingTuesday goal is $6,000, and with your help, we can continue to have a direct and immediate impact on the lives of the low-income Baltimore families we serve.
