Baltimore Green Week
Earth day is April 22nd and If you’re looking for some fun, green activities to do with your kids this year, Baltimore has a lot to offer. Baltimore Green Works, a non-profit, volunteer-driven organization is holding their 11th Annual Baltimore Green Week from April 18th – April 26th.
Baltimore Green Week offers a variety of activities promoting sustainability, such as film screenings, cooking demonstrations, a speaker series and EcoFest, the capstone event on Friday, April 26th at Druid Hill Park in Baltimore. Earth Day Celebration at The National Aquarium
The National Aquarium is hosting an Earth Day Celebration April 19th and 20th where guests can enjoy a variety of activities that promote earth friendly practices. Your kids will learn about the importance of green practices and how human action can positively or negatively impact the environment and animals like those at the National Aquarium. Blue Water Baltimore & TreeBaltimore Host
Earth Day Tree Planting
Hosted by Blue Water Baltimore and the TreeBaltimore initiative, an Earth Day tree planting will commence on Saturday, April 21st from 8:30-12:00 pm at Frederick Douglas High School. All gloves, tools and training is provided! Planting a tree is a great way to teach your kids about the importance of the environment. This is a pre-EcoFest activity and all participants are encouraged to head over to druid hill park afterwards. For more information, visit Blue Water Baltimore’s site.
